GHC: The Glasgow Haskell Compiler. The Glasgow Haskell Compiler is a robust, fully-featured, optimising compiler for the functional programming language Haskell 98 (http://www.haskell.org). GHC compiles Haskell to either native code or C. It implements numerous experimental language extensions to Haskell, including concurrency, a foreign language interface, several type-system extensions, exceptions, and so on. GHC comes with a generational garbage collector, a space and time profiler, and a comprehensive set of libraries. This package provides the 8.10.x release series which have been superseded by GHC 9.0.x (lang/ghc90). There is basically no reason why one would want to use this anymore, as GHC 9 can also be bootstrapped using GHC 8.8.

Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
The pkg_admin audit command locates any installed package which has been mentioned in security advisories as having vulnerabilities.
Please note the vulnerabilities database might not be fully accurate, and not every bug is exploitable with every configuration.
Problem reports, updates or suggestions for this package should be reported with send-pr.
