	Announcing XSuSE_Tseng and XSuSE_NVidia
	=======================================

S.u.S.E. has added two new servers to our small series of
post-XFree86-3.3.1 X servers.

- ----------------------------------------------------------------------

XSuSE_Tseng offers the following improvements compared to XFree86-3.3.1

 - accelerated support for W32 and W32i
 - ET6100 and ET6300 support (only ET6100 has been tested so far)
 - improved text performance at 16bpp
 - "Black Screen" problems should be solved

This server has been developed in cooperation with Koen Gadeyne.

- ----------------------------------------------------------------------

XSuSE_NVidia adds two important new features to the already existing
NVidia support in XFree86.

 - accelerated support for NV1
 - non-accelerated support for Riva-128 (PCI and AGP versions)

Acceleration for the Riva-128 is beeing worked on as well and will be
released as soon as it is stable.

The following cards are known to be working with this server:

 - Elsa VICTORY Erazor
 - Diamond Viper 330
 - STB Velocity 128
 - ASUS 3Dexplorer

This server has been developed in cooperation with David McKay.

- ----------------------------------------------------------------------

These servers are based on XFree86 code, but are enhanced and extended
to support new cards or remove bugs and limitations in the last public
XFree86 release.

S.u.S.E. is releasing all of these servers in close cooperation with
their authors and with The XFree86 Project. Of course, all of them will
be integrated into future versions of XFree86.

The servers are freely available, the copyright is basically that of XFree86.

For more information about these and other XSuSE servers please check
http://www.suse.de/XSuSE/XSuSE_E.html

Please direct all questions regarding these servers to x@suse.de. Please do
not contact XFree86 or the individual authors, as S.u.S.E. is solely
responsible for supporting these servers.
